Rifle Slings
Henry Golden Boy & Big Boy: No-Drill Leather Sling Adapters & Wraps
The Henry sling problem
Henry lever guns — the Golden Boy, the Big Boy and Big Boy X, the Side Gate — are some of the best-looking rifles made in America. But many of them ship without sling swivel studs, which leaves owners with a hard choice: drill a brass-and-walnut rifle to mount a sling, or carry it in your hands. We make a third option.
How a no-drill adapter works
A no-drill leather sling adapter wraps the barrel and magazine tube (front) and the stock (rear) and gives you sling attachment points without a single hole in the rifle. The leather is cut to the Henry's dimensions so it sits tight and doesn't shift under the weight of the gun. When you sell or trade the rifle someday, it comes off and the gun is exactly as it left the factory.
We build adapters for the Henry Golden Boy (.22 / .22 Mag / .17 HMR), the Big Boy and Big Boy Brass, and the Side Gate.
Finish the look with a sling and wrap
Once the adapter's on, add a full-grain leather sling — with cartridge loops if you want spare rounds on the gun — and the Henry carries like it should. A lot of owners also add a lever-action wrap kit or a butt cover with ammo loops to complete the leather package. It all uses the same Hermann Oak leather and the same saddle stitching, so it matches.
Saddle oil and other finishes
Our adapters and slings come in finishes like saddle oil — a warm, traditional tan that ages beautifully against brass and walnut. Tell us your exact Henry model and the finish you want, and we'll make sure the adapter fits before it ships. Browse rifle & shotgun gear for the full set.
